About Our Range
MediWatch Ltd was founded by Philip Stimpson in 1996, to develop medical products for the point-of-care environment. Initially, the Company focused on the Primary Care market and developed a few niche diagnostic products for urology. In October 2000, Mediwatch successfully listed on the AIM with the reverse take-over of Prostcare Plc. Mediwatch Plc raised in excess of £6 million for research and a “systems approach” to product development.
In December 2006, Mediwatch Plc successfully completed an agreement to purchase stock and license certain intellectual property from the urology diagnostics division of Medtronic A/S. This acquisition brought the benefit of a global footprint distribution network.
